JUNE 15-18 –  COWPUNCHERS REUNION RODEO – A tradition inWilliams, the Cowpunchers Rodeo is a working man’s rodeo.  Straight from nearby ranches, cowboys and cowgirls gather for some friendly competition including bull riding, bareback riding, wild cow races and barrel racing.

SECOND SATURDAYS OF THE MONTH – WILLIAMS ART WALK – The Williams Second Saturday Art Walk is underway and runs through October.  More information about the Williams Second Saturday Art Walk is available at (928) 635-3006.

JULY 4 – HOMETOWN FOURTH OF JULY PARADE AND FIREWORKS – Williams’ Fourth of July festivities continue with the community’s tradition of family oriented, patriotic fun for our nation’s birthday.  The Hometown Fourth of July parade takes place along historic Route 66, followed by fireworks later that evening.

AUGUST 11-13 – COOL COUNTRY CRUISE-IN – The classic car show is an annual favorite.  It takes place at Twisters and along Route 66, with trophies given for various classes.  For car show registration visit www.route66place.com.

SEPTEMBER 4 – MOUNTAIN MAN RUN – Williams loves the outdoors!  More information is available at (928) 635-0194

SEPTEMBER 4 AND 16 – STEAM TRAIN TO Grand Canyon – The Grand Canyon Railway celebrates the history of vintage rail travel with several steam-powered excursions to the Grand Canyon.  Visitors can ride all the way to the Canyon and back behind a 90 year-old Locomotive 4960.

SEPTEMBER 30 – MAN vs. MACHINE RACE – Man vs. Machine bike race is about cyclists against a 1900-era steam engine in a 54-mile race from Tusayan to Williams.  The one day, one way road bike event begins in Tusayan near the edge of the Grand Canyons south rim and travels south to Williams.  This year’s event will break the tie after the steam engine beat the cyclist in 2015, and the cyclists beat the train in 2016.

GRAND CANYON RAILWAY STEAM-POWERED TRAIN DATES, It’s time to get fired up in 2017!!!  Fueled by Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO), driven by an iron will, powered by ingenuity – Grand Canyon Railway is taking steam power into the 21st century!!
